Job Description

The Medical Assistant ensures smooth operations within the clinic with the goal of providing a positive patient experience with every customer encounter.

Responsible for the overall patient flow through the clinic providing excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor atall times.

Assists providers in delivery of professional medical care including but not limited to

Patient Registration (Convenient Care)

Collecting of Fees as Appropriate (Convenient Care)

Verifying Insurance (Convenient Care)

Running Epic for High Deductible Insurance (Convenient Care)

Scheduling Patient Appointments

Rooming Patients

Checking and Entering Patients Vitals

Verifying Patients' Medical and Surgical History

Verifying Patients Medication List

Documentation in the EMR per clinic protocol

Performing Point of Care Testing such as Flu, Covid, Strep, Urine Analysis, Glucose, INR, Lipid Panel, and HCG.

Documenting POCT Test Results in the POCT Book

Performing Monthly Quality Control Tests

Performing Opening and Closing Duties

Assisting NPs with Ordering Supplies

Ensuring all supplies are up to date and not expired

Calling patient results after NP review

Entering Orders into Epic

Administer Injections

Hours : M-F 8am-8pm

Sat-Sun 8am-5pm (every other weekend)
